“I’m delighted to introduce the 2026 Smartdesc Charity Tech Leaders Survey, now in its fourth year, and to continue CITL’s collaboration with Smartdesc on this important research. Over the last four years, this survey has become an increasingly significant barometer for the charity digital technology community, helping us to understand not just where we are right now, but how priorities, pressures and opportunities are shifting year-on-year, enabling digital, data and tech leaders to make informed decisions. We’re proud to support the promotion of the survey and to share the findings, knowing how valuable this insight is for digital technology leaders working across the sector.
As always, the real power of this research lies in the collective voice behind it – which is why I strongly encourage charity tech and digital leaders to take part in the survey and share their experiences. The more people who contribute, the richer and more representative the picture becomes for everyone. It takes less than 10 minutes to complete and your voice means the data will be even more meaningful and impactful. I’ll be hosting a 30 minute Teams drop-in session so that people can ringfence time to respond to the questions, so look out for the invitation.
We’ll be bringing the report findings to life with Adam Monk and James Field from Smartdesc on 14 May, at Microsoft’s offices on Kingdom Street. We’ll explore the results, discuss what’s changing compared to previous years and consider what it all means in practice for charities and not-for-profits. I have no doubt the survey will highlight important insights that will spark conversation, support informed decision making and help us continue learning from one another as a community.”
Thank you,
Tree Hall – CEO, Charity IT Leaders (CITL)
