Smartdesc is hosting a focused roundtable for charity IT leaders to share their experiences, aspirations, challenges and learnings on managing internal IT teams.
Technical staff are often the recipients of any unplanned problem or request from the business, and at the same time charity IT teams are under pressure to not only keep things running day to day, but also drive the IT strategy forward, manage cyber risk, keep abreast of a changing landscape, juggle multiple applications and data sources and explore disruptive technology such as AI.
Many teams are operating reactively, and budget pressures – combined with external factors like National Insurance rises – mean talent acquisition & retention in the charity IT sector can be a real challenge.
This roundtable is a peer discussion, not a sales presentation. It will provide a safe space and practical forum to socialise this topic, learn what other organisations are doing to address it and explore where alternative models such as co-managed IT (blending in-house with specialist outsourcing partners) has added value without losing internal control or context.
Who is this is for:
COOs, CIOs, CFOs, IT Directors, Operations Directors or equivalent Exec or C-Suite roles
Nonprofit organisations who have some level of internal IT team – big or small
What you’ll take away:
Shared learning on what similar sized organisations are doing in this area across the sector
Practical advice and suggestions on how to improve the performance of internal IT teams
Alternative operating models and ways of working that could help free up IT colleagues to accelerate your IT Strategy & Roadmap
